SKRFF
Corrie Francis Parks & Daniel Nuderscher | 2024 | 7m | AT

Jury statement: The award for the best Austrian film goes to a film that presents an extraordinary fusion of art, history, and philosophy. Through a unique investigative approach, the film literarily excavates the layers of paint treating them as both an archaeological site and a living, evolving work of art. The animation process activates these layers of spray paint, transforming the past into a sensory experience that is both visually arresting and intellectually stimulating.

HUBERT SIELECKI AWARD
Many thanks to Hubert Sielecki for selecting and donating this award.
Hegel in Therapy
Evi Jägle | 2023 | 4m 57s | AT

Sielecki statement: In less than six minutes, magically surreal images are superimposed at a consistently rapid pace. The imaginative depiction of horses is striking. A soothing voice invites the viewer into a kind of meditation, but the rapid sequence of images contradicts this, suggesting a provocation or parody. A philosophical masterpiece by a young artist.
